Morgan has insecurities about herself. After leaving a bad relationship where her ex-boyfriend made her feel that her sexual needs were abnormal, she is curious about making her fantasies a reality. And Jack happens to be the right guy for the job. Hulled up in a remote cabin, surrounded by nothing but alligators and Louisiana swamp, she and Jack hide from an obsessed stalker, and Jack takes it upon himself to teach her the ways of a dominant/submissive relationship. One on one.
Sex isn't the only thing Jack's after, but revenge. He has his own little secrets that could end any and all chances of a real relationship with Morgan if she ever found out. Wicked Ties is a fabulous novel with so much heart and depth. I couldn’t put it down until I read the last page and even then I didn’t want Jack and Morgan’s story to end. Jack is a wonderful, complex character that is multi-layered and so real and hot, Ms. Black almost makes the reader jealous of Morgan. However, Morgan is a wonderfully strong, yet confused character that keeps the reader rooting for her from beginning to end. The plot is full of excitement and thrills, not to mention hot, steamy sex. Jack and Morgan's relationship is tried many times but the love they share shines through the hardships. I can't wait for Ms. Black’s next release. Wicked Ties is a highly recommended read!
